The follow up to his earlier release a tribute to Curtis Mayfield, Amin Payne is right on the money once again this time with a more rounded excursion into the beats scene. Fusing elements of hip hop, bass and percussion. Also featuring a collaboration with fellow soul brother, Ta-Ku they seem to channel a darker place with a broodingly dark beat.

“It’s Too Late”, sees Amin lace up those funk boots and highjack the mothership but without a doubt for me the standout track on this release has to be – “Your Mind Feat. M-R & iMinimal” an amazing track that if you were mistaken could have featured John Robinson.

A well rounded release showing more and more signs of exploration, learning and life. I take my hat off to you Amin, well played sir! Very well played indeed.
