French magazine The Chemistry have just released a guestmix/interview/recipe by Malte aka Maltron, head of Finest Ego. The mix includes a background story as well as a recipe all revolving around the topic of Spring and (re-)awakening. Read the whole article in English and French here…

“The Awakening”

Definition:
- noun: 1) formal an act of waking from sleep: since my awakening I had realized it was a very special day | 2) an act or moment of becoming suddenly aware of something: the war came as a rude awakening to the hardships of life
- adjective: 1) coming into existence or awareness: his awakening desire, an awakening conscience

“Awakening” can be used to simply describe waking-up to your alarm in the morning from being asleep and unconscious. However, in a more metaphorical sense, it can also describe a moment of realization or enlightenment from a period of being blind and neglecting one’s self. With knowlegde of self and self-awareness comes relief and the discovery of something amazing that you’ve missed all along like a long and overdue spring suddenly arising from a seemingly never-ending and paraylizing winter season. When this winter-depression is overcome, one’s energy starts sprouting again like any kind of plant or flower in the spring, starting a riposte on the previously felt numbness. The sun’s illumination brings enlightenment to leave behind and move on so one can open up theirselves to progression and elevation.
