Kidsuke is the collaborative effort of Kidkanevil from London, UK and Daisuke Tanabe from Tokyo, Japan, who will be releasing the self-titled album, using only children’s toys and video games as sampling sources creating a fantastic magical musical journey of sounds and melodies, due November 2nd, 2012 on Project: Mooncircle.
To celebrate their release they joined forces to create this Monthly Mix for us and will also tour around Europe, for example at Club Gretchen in Berlin on the 9th of November (Facebook Event) and at Tempoclash, who were so kind to let us use their flyer-design as artwork for this mix, taking place in London on the 16th of November (Facebook Event). Finest Ego | Monthly Mix #007 – September 2011: Radio&Fernseh “Mono”
This Monthly Mix came into being on a coffee-filled afternoon with the help of two turntables plus a mixer and was recorded via DAT, which uniquely captures the vinyl sound dynamics. Afterwards it was transferred par for par into the computer without any further digital editing. It is a mix you would like to hear in a club, beggining oddly but with a track so nice it simply has to be shared, then slowly increasing towards dancefloor-music, finding its climax there and finally coming to a playful ending. No record being used is older than three months and they are all varieties of UK-House & Bass-music, currently the most entertaining dance-music, with a few eastern European additions.
Radio&Fernseh loves music, buys plenty of records but doesn’t feel the urge to play every week.
